Herts were very good on my aplication last year got all 5 rifles and ammo ammounts I requested. And in the distant past were always helpful never said no to anything I asked for when I had pistols.

Credit to Northumbria who did my 1 for 1 variation (removing a .22lr and adding a 12 bore shotgun and slugs) a couple of weeks ago within 7 working days with no problem. bigteeth

Just had my visit - all sorted, 5 new slots plus 4 new Mod' slots. Ammo increases etc. (And an explanation as to why I needed a visit for my variation, really helps my FEO is a decent guy)

He did say they are still processing paperwork from 2011!! they are merging with West Mids and things are looking brighter as WM have twice the number of staff as Staffs, but with 1/3rd less ticket holders - no staff are being made redundant either.

Just go to the Police HQ and pick it up in person! I don't like mine coming in the post anyway as the envelopes Durham use are terrible - they have massive windows in the front which you can clearly see FIREARMS CERTIFICATE through

I have to get a correction made to my FAC - they forgot to specify any conditions or authorise any ammunition for my 25 cal rifle! kukkuk However, I am loathed to send it in, as Grampian seem to be taking forever with FACs (maybe it's just me :o ) and I know that as soon as I do I'll find a rifle I want and can afford. :cool2:
