Interesting but this is the first some of us have heard of it - did the Sportsmans Association tell anyone in the NRA and if so who?

I would add a fourth to my list.

4. The national body(s) should see membership as their key strength and should actively reach out meaningfully with equal tangible benefits regardless of location in the UK so that all shooters and gunowners will want to be members.

Good point Karen and I suspect they didn't tell anyone which just highlights the fragmented shooting organisations. The NRA should get involved.

Especially now that the NRA knows> I assume that you will be passing this information on internally Karen and that the NRA is big enough to act better than the SA appear to have.

Well I know someone who will go - whether he goes on his own or with others remains to be seen but if anyone has more details of what its all about we would be interested in hearing about it

Karen all I have is what I stumbled across in my first post.

I'm really glad that NRA will attend. It was wrong of the SA not to shout this from the rooftop. I want the NRA to be the representative body for all Target based shooting in the UK covering all disciplines and I see a little glimmer of hope emerging from Bisley in the last few weeks.

Attend and be proactive.

Hosted by SA does rather put me off however I would be interested to hear what the agenda is.

If yu can go, then go. Matters not who hosts it...using a host as an excuse shows why the UK shooting scene is so fragile.

You can bet if ALL shooters in the USA were NRA members they would weild serious power. same for the UK, as long as everyone sees only "their" group you are screwed, only a matter of time.

Certainly NRA UK should be there, in fact why is this such a surpise to them?? One would think they would learn from the US version?? Only my tuppence worth but it could not do them any harm.
