Like a conventional round it has a steel jacketed bullet (I put a magnet against both).
It has a steel cartridge case - same as standard.
However, when weighed it was found to be 187 grains compared to the conventional round which weighs 256.5 grains.
The head stamp markings are: 74 05
I wondered if the disparity in weight, 69.5 grains, is partly because there is no charge within . Shaking either round isn't much help as you can't hear any powder shifting in the normal round to begin with.
Is it some kind of training round?
