I'd need to check but I suspect that the powder measure from the turret press could be adapted to work as a manually operated stand alone measure. When I eventually get back into my workshop and get it tidied up I've got a lot of catching up to do. I used to use 2.8 grns Vit 310 under a 148 grn SWC in a Smith and Wesson 586 and have used the same in my Winchester 94AE.

Yep, just had a good look at my disc measure (only had it 30 years) Sure enough it's exactly the same thing. Even has the holes in the base for the bent metal stand. Just need to make a stand, unscrew the little actuating plate so you can remove the sliding bit that normally screws into the die.

Refit the actuating plate and fit a little handle to the stub. A very effective little measure for very little expense.

Shot the 38 re loads to night not impressed at all. I would have had better success if I had thrown a slack hand full at the target.

I think I need to cast some bullets only I don't have any spare time to do any thing now a days . I used bought jobbies for this outing.
I guess I should probably clean the rifle as well if I'm going to be using it on a regular basis. I don't think I have cleaned it since I bought it after the pistol ban. Its spent most of its life locked in a cabinet. I guess its time to mix up some Edds red.
Were will I get a 357 bore snake(is that what you call them). I see NOE moulds are doing a special on .360 moulds Im tempted to buy one.

You might need to slug the barrel, not quite as easy as on a bolt action rifle but it can be done, then it might just be a case of buying different bullets. If any of your friends are casting you could offer to buy from them. Try batches of 5 with different bullet weights but the same powder then do some more batches with the best 2 bullets but with a different powder charge.

I use 3.5Gr Bullseye powder and a 158gr SWC, and get good results.

If you do convert it to manual it is straight forward except you need to machine a new drop tube or get some one to make you one. I used black nylon rod. I also fitted a auto disc up date kit.
