We are getting a bit off topic here but the debate is interesting.
I am on some other forums with a Varminting theme and it doesn't sit well with me that people post pictures/videos and descriptions of shooting vermin at the equivalent of F Class ranges. Some desperate to shoot a rabbit at 1000yds. It casts up all sorts of ethical issues about treating animals humanely whether being slaughtered for food or shot as vermin. You wound a fox at 600yds, you have no hope of tracking it and despatching it quickly. I agree that they do more harm to the image of shooting than target pistol shooters.
And before anybody wades in, I have shot game, vermin, deer, cats, geese etc and although I dont hunt now, I firmly believe you shouldn't take the shot if you cant be certain as possible of a humane kill.
Petition to the Govt to reassess 22 target pistols.

It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
