Complete waste of time - I've filled in a half dozen of these petitions over the years. What makes you think that they will take notice of a paper petition when they didn't take any notice of what we had to say when we filled the streets of London. So much for democrasy in this country.

I know where you're coming from, BUT... times change, governments change, public opinion changes (OK, so maybe that one's a bit iffy!) - just perhaps it might make a difference. If we DON'T do it, it certainly won't...Chapuis wrote:Complete waste of time - I've filled in a half dozen of these petitions over the years. Because Chapius, this was on the agenda if the Tories won the election....fact! Then Bird went on the rampage in Cumbria and it was shelved. The govt have indicated that they may look at this again after the Olympics. As shooters it is vital we keep up the pressure, not roll over and die!

well im in, we should keep chipping away at them after all its what the b&stards have done to us over the years, just with bigger chips though
What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.

Leopards don't change their spots, don't forget that it was the conservatives who stole our pistols. Do you really think that a weak coallition government will be supported by the liberals to put a wrong right.
I used to think that John Major was a reasonable decent sort of guy until then, what a fool I was. Mind you it was no surprise that William Hauge's judo partner and president of the NPA Sebastion Coe should turn out to be such a turncoat. So the arguement about the olympics won't stand because you are hardly likely to get support from that two faced groveller.
