I did not know were else to post .
Question: Do neck bushings have a leading edge the one I made is just shaving brass off more like a neck turning tool.

Yes, I machine bushes for myself with a chamfer on the inner leading edge to match or be slightly less than the shoulder angle, typically around 1,0mm in.

I had a feeling that was what was wrong. I'll stick it back in the lathe and have another go. Thanks very much.

Hmm still not working its just shaving brass off.
There is obviously more to this bushing lark than meets the eye.
I guess Ill just buy the bushing.
