From the Sydney Morning Herald - The gunman has been named as Wayne Williams, a member of the Finks outlaw motorcyle gang. He appears to have died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds, police confirmed. He had been using a long-armed weapon. Police would not say how long he had been dead.Chuck wrote:Whatever the connection there is absolutely NO NEED for this sort of thing.....if your bike or club etc means that much get help, get a life!
The man Williams shot dead was businessman Mick Bassal. Bassal was friends with the Alex Vella junior, the son of Rebels Motorcycle Club president Alex Vella, who has lost a bid to return from Malta.

These Biker (or Bikie) gangs in Australia are vicious criminal organisations, who are willing to use tactics more akin to a terrorist organisation to get what they want. These tactics have in the past included car bombing rival gangs and targeting the Police. I would expect that there will be a response in kind from the RMC to avenge this very soon.
As to your comment for him "to get a life!" - in this and other cases, your gang is your life...literally.
