Yes I know they can look a bit sad sometimes but they are easy to restore, and the bores are virtually allways like new so what am I missing ?

Yes I steamed the stock and sanded it down, some of the dinges were deep, but not half as deep after I had given it a bath.ukrifleman wrote:Nice job!

Here is a pic of my '55 vintage K31, not as good looking as yours but very accurate all the same.

Nothing magical, just soaked it, then sanded, then stained, the gave it about eight coats of true oil, then went over it with fine wire wool to get rid of the shine. I will post more pics, I have loads.saddler wrote:What did you do to bring the stock back to new condition?
