I've just done F range Sunday just gone - I couldn't hit the targets out on the right hand slope (circa 950m) as I'd no idea where the rounds were going - what I wouldn't have given for some 54R tracer.

I did have 7.62 NATO tracer but I reckon out of about 50 rounds only 1 lit up (visibly at any rate).....

Don't suppose your source can bring any more in eh?

Back to the topic - Just noted that the Finns used .303 tracer bullets in some of their Mosin tracer rounds - prior to them later designing a tracer bullet of their own.

The .303 tracer were sourced both from Britain & Italy

I believe some people reload 54r with .303 bullets as they are both .311".I did have the chance of some WW2 .303 bullets but they were quite expensive and being 70+ years old I don't know if they'd still ignite.

The batch of 762 RG I took up were all but useless and were 80s vintage. I gave them to ChrisB for plinking with!!!
