A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Re: Scope for up to 1000yd target
Cheers Alan,
My dad's after a high end scope for benchrest .22lr - it may be overkill, but if I can get him to get hold of one of these, i may be able to pinch it for long range .308 stuff....

Don't think so, can't focus on the zero range targets at Bisley with mine.TattooedGun wrote:Anyone with one of these Sightron S3's - Can you get one to focus down at 25 yards...?

Have a look around before buying . There are some good discounts to be had. 10% is the norm. David

I'm also pleased with my Sightron S3. I think you will need a 20 moa sight rail for .308 to get you to 1,000 yds.

Some decent prices here,
http://www.optics-trade.eu/uk/riflescop ... _siii.html
And as they're in the EU no VAT or import duty to pay :)
I'm almost tempted but off to the US later this year so will get my next one even cheaper over there :)

There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)
