That's your opinion, but you're not questioning any specific other opinion, just making a general comment.
Gundoc made good points, as I know Gundoc in real life I know that he has knowledge that civvies wouldn't have. He doesn't speculate and he doesn't type nonsense.

Jeeze, is it time of the month or something?
This is a shooting forum, yes? Where we chat about shooting and guns, yes?
What's the harm of chatting about military firearms then?
Not every thread has to be discussing cures for cancer and or not lead to absolute conclusions?
Talk about suck the life out of a place.

There's no harm in talking about military firearms, or at least I thought so until the self-appointed fun police start calling people names.
But as we're on the topic of SAS firearms. I was a total fanboy for the MP5. First time I saw one was when the embassy siege was on the news back in 1980.
Years later, 2004, I got to shoot one in Vegas, well worth the wait.

That thread is now locked and people have moved on, leave what has been where it is.
If people don't agree with what has been said then fine state your opposing view and debate it as vigorously as you will but don't belittle other peoples view and spoil the thread.
This an internet forum and exists on opinions and they should be respected as well as disagreed with.
Belittling behaviour only reflects badly on the belittler. Pride comes before the fall so tread carefully when stating opinions as absolutes.

Re: SAS firearms.
Yes the police used to carry them here, a step up from the sterling bellow.I was a total fanboy for the MP5
Re: SAS firearms.
I agree, how about the mods quit locking threads and instead lock out the grumpy ones with nothing to contribute to a thread. Locking threads is unfair on those who want nothing more than to discuss a topic.safetyfirst wrote:Sigh.
