BTW .333" does sound rather large for a 7.62 in front of the case mouth.

Right so it looks like my original thoughts on using a .313 is way of the mark then.

FWIW I have an AIA 7.62 x 39 and use 0.314 bullets.
Have yet to have a positive experience with them!
Factory Tula works very well in mine and its cheap.

You might be right Adam Ill measure it again. That's another reason I wanted to do a couple more and get a average. As I said this is a total grey area to me. Its all a learning curve. Or maybe I just walloped it to hard.

Getting more and an average is good but I doubt it will be far off the first one, that is the beauty of this method the impression is what it is.

So what sort of measurement would you have expected out of curiosity. Recommend me a mould one of NOE making or what ever.BTW .333" does sound rather large for a 7.62 in front of the case mouth.
