Some of my old friends would love to retire but keep getting offered too much money 'cos companies can't find anyone else with the experience.
It's fine having the money but if one doesn't have time to enjoy it, what's the point? I was in a similar situation, could have worked for another ten years and been promoted with lots more dosh but after much thought and discussion, well I figure I made the right choice for me. At 57 I'm still young enough to enjoy my retirement.

Mechanical engineering apprentice (16) --> fitter --> quality engineer --> process engineer --> quality manager.

Other than the first year of my apprenticeship all the above has been for the world leading battery manufacturer.

At the clubs I'm a member of there is just about every profession represented. Need a roofer/plumber/soliciter/dentist/police officer, ask down at the club.

I've only met one artist who shoots, I'm waiting for a vegan chef , who shoots, to vote them as having most unlikely profession for a shooter.

I can think of three Police officers on here and we certainly have a Vegan who is a keen cook and a couple of Vegetarians that I know of on the forum however Vegan chefs do seem thin on the ground.

What I want to know is do we have any politicians?

After reading this it at least explains why the threads have been so boring of late.
