You can't steal intelllectual property per se, so I presume you mean infringe copyright in this particular context. Successive governments in the US, UK, Australia and NZ have extended the terms of copyright after lobbying by the content creation industry (Disney in particular) to the point where it will never expire and therefore ceases to fulfil its original function. Copyright as a concept is nearly dead as a result, so I don't really have a lot of sympathy.Polchraine wrote:And why would you want to access the sites that the court has barred? OK, rant over. More to the point, blocking technology is pretty crude and the rate of false positives pretty high (see El Reg for examples of this.) Cupcake Kid is spot on.
