Does your club hold an RFD ticket?

If the club has an RFD, then it almost certainly will be treated by HMRC as a business - with all the attendant costs and administration. Most clubs can remain as a charity, even if they sell ammunition or charge fees for events (has be to members only, so that no "profit" is made from external parties).

This is what we're thinking, that HMRC/Council would not consider us a business so long as we only supplied members and not "outsiders"

To get an RFD you will need to demonstrate to FL that it is bona fide business contributing in good measure to your income.
