The 15-22 also has a match grade barrel the only down side to the 15-22 is you can not put a CF upper on it I think S&W did this so American shooters would need to buy two guns.

Curious; why do you think that?

My 2p

I have shot Sigs belonging to MiLisCer and Leeroy and really like them. Thats where my money would go.
The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.

Yeah, but when you can pick up the 15-22 for around 400 dollars new, that's no real hardship!!!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

I've had experience of the S&W, excellent bit of kit and not at all toy like. I own a Colt M4 and a GSG5-SD, both of which, contrary to many reviews, work faultlessly and the only time I ever get FTF problems is after about 500 rounds rapid or if I use the cheapest of cheap ammo. As far as I am concerned, the GSG is an absolute bargain and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. It really does benefit from a thorough strip every other outing and a bore-snake in between.

I bought the Colt 2nd hand for a price that could not be ignored, took it straight from shop to range and put 1000 rounds of CCI Minimag through it without a single problem and it wasn't clean when I took possession of it.

Since then, my local shop has had a delivery of the Mossberg M4's and they feel distinctly toy like.

In an ideal world we'd all have a Bradley Arms or Lantac Raven AR.

With any guns there always pigs in amongst them and it seems that more often than not it is the failures that make the headlines. Working to your budget, you'll have hours of fun with a Sig or the S&W.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Wished they were that price over here instead of £600 for the standard and about £750 for the Magpul modded one.

I've shot all of these except the MP5 and I also own an ISSC mk22 commando. If i had £750.00 to spend then the 15-22 and the Sig 522 would be top of my list as these are very reliable rifles that shoot well and are easy to clean and maintain. The HK is very nice to shoot as well but is difficult to clean properly due to its design. The mk22 needs work to get it firing properly as they generally suffer from light strike issues. Cleaning the ISSC can be a bit tricky (compared to the Sig or the S&W) as it too has a rather complicated internal design.
