I normally shoot at Bisley but I am getting sick of the traffic and expense because it's a hike from Daventry.
Barton Road seems to be the nearest long range venue - anyone please have any info clubs which shoot there etc so I can see about switching venue?
Many thanks!

Re: F-Class barton road
I know there are other clubs using the range, I am pretty sure Grove is the only one with long range once a month.
BRPC is another one...long range is maybe once or twice a year.

Hello,
The Grove Small-arms club shoot there usually once a month (sometimes twice a month)http://www.grovesmallarms.org/index.html
I am on the committee of the Grove so can put you in touch with contacts if need be. We start off with an HME zeroing session and then shoot 800, 1000 and 1200 yards.

BR is a stunning range to shoot at, always well tended and the Long Range meetings usually attract between 12-20 shooters. We always shoot 800 & 1000 however the 1200 is decided on the firing point and is dependant on a few factors, ultimate choice is down to those shooting so very democratic in that respect.
Beware the flags! BR wind is always less than it appears and being an MoD range we only have a couple of flags to work with.
Membership is very reasonable at GBP50 (from memory) plus GBP12 green fees on the day. We also shoot at Thetford which is out to 600 plus a few shorter distance ranges further out towards the coast.
