christel,

I made an enquiry with Richard Paul Russel Ltd in early December 2010. They said they should have these available in mid-January 2011. I've been thinking about ordering one myself but have been waiting to read some reviews first.

The Kestrel 4500NV with Horus ATrag Ballistics Software has a Retail Price of £460.15 and the Bluetooth model is £545.36. These prices exclude VAT.

A good mate of mine uses the Kestrel in Afghanistan, although on his last trip his kestrel died as the ambiant temperature was too high!

I guess he'll be issued one in due course, but given his role, I must ask him what the BC of a JDAM is!
