This is of course good news for the forces however I can't help but think of all the beggars in the streets all over the country.

I hope they've bought the necessary training to go with them; they're going to need a skills update. This photo was taken at an armoury of one of the anti-terrorist police forces last May. Note the poster top-right: No4 Rifle Mk I. Tools were somewhat rudimentary.

I remember a photograph of an Indian marksman during the Mumbai attack, he was climbing some scaffolding with a battered SVD on a sling made out of blue polypropylene rope or similar. Certainly looked like time for an upgrade or at least some investment in equipment.

Hmmm, maybe stereotyping here but personally i've prefer such a lax-a-daisy and corrupt government/police not getting their hands on new weapons. :( They'll be in the hands of terrorist groups within the year, watch this space . . .

Because weapons are our only real manufacturing and export left.........
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

FAir point Sim, shocking innit when we are selling weapons to an (potential almost inevitable?) enemy by any other name.
