45 acp

Hi a discussion at the club the other night. Was a underlever rifle ever prroduced to shoot 45acp ? Marlin in particular. Can anyone answer this. ?

Not a factory one. However, if anyone is adamant that there was, it may be that they remember Shooting Sports' Pete Moore building one several years ago, I think with the help of Pete Sarony of Armalon. From what I remember, a load of grief and very expensive. But, if it's what you want then why not?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Can't ever recall an underlever but there were revolvers with clips to hold the rim and of course the De Lisle Enfield.

Never seen an underlever,but someone i know used to have an Enfield converted to 45acp (not a DeLisle i must add).

And I should finally be getting my 10 shot .45 ACP Remington 700 in the next couple of weeks

I don't want an underlever; everyone else at the club shoots them and I'd prefer something a bit different :shakeshout:
