Supply and demand, when the demand outstrips the supply prices go up.
Just cast less and the prices will come down again.

Instead of starting another thread i'll add my question onto here as i know Rog casts a lot of boolits.
Today while melting down range lead into nice clean ingots i didnt feel well and still dont to be honest.I do it outside and wear a mask while standing upwind of the pot so the smoke dont go in my face,but occasionally its unavoidable when the wind changes direction.Every time i cook lead up this happens for the rest of the day.Does this happen to you Rog?

The best flux is dry sawdust stirred through with a dry stick.
Wax, oil, lube and stuff link that gives an dirty oily smoke and fume that also doesn't fully flux.
I smelt in the garage with an open door, I don't worry about lead fumes as never heat the lead high enough for it to vapourise but do try and avoid inhaling any smoke. I used to wear a mask but don't now that I've gone exclusively to wood fluxing. Been doing it now for over ten years.
