was at Stickledown range at Bisley today, a strange group of spectators were on the range between us and the butts :o there were a few dribbling deerstalkers I have to tell you tongueout

We had them walk out across us at last years Phoenix, they were just in front of the butts and we were right hand side 800 yards point. The RCO pointed out there were 8 including a stag however we counted 9 so did wonder if the straggler was fair game.

We just kept shooting over their heads and they seemed unconcerned by the whole affair.

I know they are about just never seen them.

Not at all unusual....often see then during the mid week on Stickledown. When not shooting I spend sometime looking around at the wildlife.....a couple of weeks ago I spotted a Red Kite, a Sparrowhawk and two Kestrels as well as a number of Skylarks...plus the deer....

I wonder how much "Oh Come on, I've got me tack in the back of the car!" was going towards the RCO :p

We had them wander across in May. Coach was telling me that the bullets trajectory would be clean over their backs but I couldn't take the shot when my sights were hovvering on their bodies.

Didn't realise the range fee there covers lunch too, very nice! :good: :lol:
