Permissions.

#1 Post by Magnamaniac »

Hi
Question to the forum. Live in Kent, have permissions but it's all .22lr for vermin work.

My mother god bless her has told her friends and have been offered permission in and around Nottingham and Manchester for foxing.

How's that going to work with Kentish licensing, as I will need a higher calibre rifle for that work.

Think my mum just wants a visit lol

You get permission in writing from landowner (Or shooting rights holder) - apply for a variation for the Calibre you want for fox, include your permission slip. Your force will check on the Database to see if the land is cleared for that calibre. If it is not they will get the local(s) to do a land check. Once it has been cleared (or refused) you will or will not get your variation.

The local force may also require maps showing boundries footpaths etc , want to walk round with you so you can explain safe angles of fire , safe backstops etc.
