No4 Mk1*

#1 Post by pe4king »

The other one I purchased earlier in the year this Longbranch No4 Mk1* no FTR dated 1945 in good nick apart from being fitted with a telescopic sight more bloody varnish and a soddin bipod stud (I ask you) anyway all the horrible stuff off now and I have fitted a PH4 rearsight and tunnel foresight and lashings of BLO im just trying to decide if the wood is beech or canadian maple as it has come up a lot lighter than the varnish but still very nice

Same as the No1 at the moment, but I think i expect slightly better with this one if my last Longbranch was anything to go by.
The thing with range days with me seems to be take everything and use everything I need to be more methodical and have specific days for certain rifles then I could take more time to get the best from them, looks like the basis for a new years resolution beats the crap out of getting thinner or not drinking etc ;)

You couldn't do that even if your life depended on it!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
