Quickload 3.6

Who has this and uses it? who has this and doesn't use it?

I like all things computer based so do like "software" - I am looking at getting the latest version.

Now it is only $152.95 from the US (plus shipping - but it is only a disk) and £125 in the UK! (No surprise there) has anyone shipped in the US version? (I've mailed them to see if they will ship direct)

I like QL and find it very useful however they are not well supported here in the UK.

My original version was US it was given to me by a friend who came over here to visit, I used to get the updates from Necos because it was the US version then they stopped shipping abroad.

I approached the UK distributor and asked if I could swap for a UK version and was told that I shouldn't have the US version being in the UK and if I wanted up dates then I would have to buy the UK version from them, they were very curt and unhelpful about it.

So I just run with latest version I have v3.5.

Mine was a genuine situation and I was almost accused of being a criminal.

Good luck to you if you can get a version from the US direct as Necos wouldn't when the v3-6 was introduced.

A good programme once you learn its foibles and can be uncannily accurate in its predictions if you get your inputs and burning rates right.

It is no substitute for safe reloading practices as all it gives are predictions not actuals.

Thanks Adam,

I had a reply from Ed' Dillon very quickly in the US, he was helpful but suggested I bought it from JMS in the UK, pointed out to him they are not very helpful to deal with and he suggested I dealt direct with author. I have his details, he is German.

I find QL to be a very useful tool, it is more important that you know how to relate it to your own rifles than rely on the generic data.
Always found Julian to be a real helpful guy.
