Bench-Source Vertex Annealing Machine

#1 Post by crazyfrog »

I was enquiring on a few forums as I am trying to purchase a annealing machine, a Bench-Source Vertex and I believe that Ovenpaa is this forum is making one, I would be very interested if anyone can let me know if there are any distributers in the Uk for this or a similar machine or indeed plans and a list of components including where to source them, I could then have a go at making one myself, Thanks in advance, Gary

I have made interrupted motion machines in the past and I am well on the way to finishing another constant motion one at present, bad news is I have wrecked a rotary table so until I get the new one in I cannot continue.

It was a second hand job off eBlag which was sold as 'Used for one job' I have used it a fair bit and was getting a bit suspicious of everything so I stripped it down and checked the bearings, adjusted the backlash and carried on as usual. Set the new work piece up, set the cut and would round the piece to make sure it was all OK, took the first cut, that was fine, took a second and the cutter dug into the piece I was machining yanked everything around and jammed solid.

It was not a big cut but the damage was done. My fault as I was driving it.
