After some help please
I want a progressive press to crank out the 9mm, in the good old days pre pistol ban I used a 3 lee 1000s set for each calibre I had and was happy with them. But should I stick with lee 1000 or get the Loadmaster which was just being introduced back in the day. Not interested in other brands (or lee bashing) as these are the 2 in my price bracket and they would only be used for pistol calibers.

I got the Load Master for doing .44 and had a bad time trying to get it working correctly, even after using the nice videos on Youtube it's only partly working as follows,
Primer feed, awkward and I found it very unreliable even after going over the help vids etc., can't trust it so prime off press with an RCBS Universal hand primer which is 100% reliable.
Bullet feeder, again unreliable, drops almost every bullet before reaching the case, may just be that 200 or 245gr bullets are too heavy for it.
So, it's now set up as follows,
Station 1 - Full Lendth Size with de-capping pin removed
Station 2 - De-capping die with pin removed
Station 3 - Powdwer through die and Pro-Auto powder measure with adj. charge bar
Station 4 - Bullet seat die
Station 5 - Factory crimp
Runs 99% of the time with the odd case mis-feed on station 1
I've just ordered a 9mm shell plate, small case feeder and spare factory crimp die for setting it up the same way for 9mm. At present I load the 9mm on a Classic Cast Turret with an upgraded auto-disk, with the Pro powder hopper. I found the adj. charge bar to be inconsistent at 4gr of Titegroup so used a no,37 disk and reamed it out until I got the correct size.
If I was going over to the US soon I would get the Hornady LNL AP a much better press but of course I didn't do my homework before buying the Load Master last month

Don't mess around go for a Dillon you will never regret it, and if you do have a problem or manage to break anything the company are simply brilliant to deal with.
