Well done Norfolk

#1 Post by Meaty »

Posted my variation through the door at Norfolk Police HQ on monday morning (I live just down the road and couldnt find a stamp!) and it was back with me on Wednesday. What a turn round sign92
Credit were credit is due.
Just got back from C & G with the slot and ammo allowance now filled.

Hello,
I went for a 1944 k98 and I am giving it a rub as we speak!
Hopefully should get to shoot it on the Battle area in a couple of weeks time-boss permiting. Quite an experience visiting C&G for the first time, lots to drool over and I have never seen a Dobberman that big in my life....thank god it was friendly!!
Only had one cup of coffee but it was freshly made and very good.

Meaty,
Nice one :good:

Ah you met AK she is fantastic.... dobberemans look odd with long tails.

Is the ammo you got milsurp if so you will need to wash out the barrel once finished shooting with hot water to remove the salts from the corrosive primers then clean normally. If you got PPU ammo then not a problem not corrosive.
Enjoy.

Thanks for all the advice folks-much appreciated.I plan to reload for the K98 in the near future, when funds permit so probably the mil-surp is just a stop-gap (unless it shoots well, because at £29 per 100 it is certainly cheap shooting)
As for the time taken for variations etc. The last one I submitted took nearly 9 weeks and my FAC application took approx 8 months, so things have come on in leaps and bounds. Long may this efficiency continue.

At GBP29/100 I would stick with milsurp for a while, last time I shot some of Chris's 7,92 milsurp it was good stuff, worked very well indeed, it wasd dated from the 1950's.
