FAC applications Progress

Hello Again.

I thought i would keep a log of what my progress is in regards to getting my self "legal" and organised. That way people can provide guidance and advice


12/01/12 - Attended Bisley, Met Nick Halford - Successfully applied for NRA - NRASC membership
17/01/12 - received probationary membership card and details etc
21/01/12 -AM successfully completed assessment at Bisley with Chris Web for the safe use of firearms and familirazation with Bisley site&rules. - PM - Hired a SMLE .303 and put 60 rounds down range on 100 yards Siberia from Prone (target 7)
27/01/12 - First Call to Met Police Firearms licensing department (south). Introduced my self and informed them i want to obtain a FAC. I asked if i could pop into their offices to introduce my self and brake the ice but answer i got was ... No we are to busy for this we will post application to you... So i said ok , i look forward to receiving it.

Today.. Been trying to find a full member of NRA that is thinking of going to bisley this weekend for me to tag along with ... as i said ... i am allowed to hire a rifle but not a target.. need a full member to do that for me :cool2:

You are in a very similar position to Eagernoskill who is a couple of months further on and is expecting his FAC through the door any day now.
Suggest you give him an I'M should you have any queries at all, he is also from outside the UK, had previous shooting experience and has the MET as his FET,
