UZI Model made of original parts

UZI reproduction made from many original parts.
Grip (deactivated), handguards, Top-Cover with loader, sights, stock, mag and sling are from original parts former used from the german army

Receiver is a decoration reproduction and there is no inlay/funktion in the receiver.
Moving parts: stock and load-lever. Also the mag can be taken off.

I do wonder how close to the real thing they are and I am not sure I agree with such things either...

I have no problem with such things. Replicas, airsoft or even deactivated. Absolutely no attraction to me what-so-ever, but there are those who are attracted to such items and derive a lot of pleasure out of them.

But the thing that really pi$$es me off is not so much the deactivated market, but the way some in that said trade have absolutely no qualms in "destroying" perfectly serviceable and sometimes very valuable weapons. I've seen original Winchester 73's and Marlins hacked to pieces and one bright-spark deactivated a Colt Bisley in an obsolete caliber!!!

Its up to the individual to own whatever floats their boat , provided they are legal and are used for legal purposes its their choice to own deacts , the same as its our choice to own the real deal , we dont like others critisising us and saying we shouldnt own firearms . If your interest isnt shooting but it is military weapons then deacts are the way to go .
Agreed historical working firearms should be left alone , but then again it would seem that a lot of museum firearms are deactivated as well .
Unfortunately there are very few people [ in this country ] who can collect as much of what is out there due to the legal restrictions in firearms legislation .

Hear hear! The number of times I've seen "Mint condition Enfield, all matching numbers, pristine metal/woodwork" and then "deactivated" in tiny letters makes me want to weep ...
