Club Competition

#1 Post by Dave 101 »

Hi

Just got back from our clubs annual Mini Methuen competition , its a .22 comp at 25yds , mainly prone on different targets and against the clock , I managed a score of 194 x 200 which won me first place , with the BSA MkII International scoped .

The target .

As I only shoot in the scoped class I entered with the Anschutz 54 and the BRNO 4 but didnt do as well dropped a few more points .

The three tin hat targets [ middle line ] are scaled in size to represent different ranges 200 yds to 600 yds , 2 shots in 15 seconds with a 15 second away time to change position and reload
The snap shots 2 shots in 10 seconds are a chalenge , no time for mistakes ,
The rules are no jackets , slings or mit , a sand bag support can be used for the prone .

Hi

A good bit of fun , I look forward to it every year .

Yes Dave thats the bracket , I had a panic on though first shoot this morning I was due to use the BSA , I put the rifle down on the sand bag and it rolled over onto the scope and it was way out of zero , so I ran back to the car to get the Anschutz . I bore sighted the BSA at lunch time then fine zeroed it on the line in the afternoon , alls well that ends well though .
