Thanks all, my day was indeed mostly walking along the coast with two Labs for company. I watched a flock of maybe 200 Lapwings, an amazing sight, with Plovers filling in the gaps. Returned a few oysters to the water. Caught a couple of razor shells, which I returned, and watched the Oyster Catchers. All without seeing a single person. Finally, I watched the Lurcher launch in a huge arc along the coastal path before swooping down toward me like a furry white terrain following missile from about 750m away.
I also had some good news which was probably my best present.
Sadly, I am down a card this year, but so is life.
