I have a ton of lead that needs cleaning/cast into ingots so I decided to get a dedicated tank fed burner to make things more economical than the previous gas canister fed burner I had been using. Its been nothing but a headache ever since!
Anyway, I have a propane tank with regulator and hose but the hose hole diameter is too small for the valve on the burner. The valve on the burner is 9.8mm in diameter (at its widest) whereas the hose has an internal diameter of approx. 4.5mm.
The valve on the tank is going to be the same small diameter as the hose naturally so its not just a case of buying a different hose. Is there a way around this or am I going to have to just buy a whole new regulator/valve and hose for the gas tank that fits the valve on the burner?
I've been to a local 'fuel centre', but they were about as much use as a chocolate fireguard and didn't sell any of the connection equipment anyway (in fact you couldn't even buy a new tank, or have an existing tank filled there, you could only swap an empty for a full
