One of mine looks possibly worse that the first picture! It still works but a little stiff - it will get clean up though,
Are those new faces or the old ones refurbished too?
Nothing new - just the old faces cleaned up, a fine file to clean up the checkering and skimmed a few blobs of weld of of them. The original plan was to turn them upside down but the screws didn't line up. Needed an impact driver to get a couple of the screws out.

However, in my new workshop I have 2 record vices to fit - one a woodworking one that goes under the worktop, and a 3 1/2" 2VS which has a rotary base. Both need installing. They cost me about £10 & £20 in the Record shop in teh Peak District (a few years back) and are both Made in England!
This is the larger 6VS
