It would be tempting if I had £3900 windfall!

Re: Lynx 94 Target straight pull rifle
Never heard of them but they do look nice.
I was talking to some shooters last weekend and quite a few of them were using a barrel I had never heard of and cannot remember the name of, something Scandinavian. I am sure there are many very good rifles, barrels and trigger sets that we never get to see in this country.

If scandinavian, was it not Kongsberg?

That could be the one yes, a lot of the barrels were painted or finished in quite a deep red colour.R.G.C wrote:Ovenpaa,

Except for the straight pull systems using a rotary bolt and intergal lugs, I tend to consider the systems with separate lugs more as a conversation piece. Necessary tolerances additions makes them case stretchers to say the least.
This might not be a problem for hunters who may be tempted by a faster cycling, although I am not sure such mechanisms are really faster.

Re: Lynx 94 Target straight pull rifle
I used one of their rifles, maybe a year ago. It was an estate rifle and being a 'guest' i got to use it whilst accompanied by one of the estate stalkers.
I shot maybe 5-6 rounds in total (100yd check test and dropping two beasts).
Seemed a nice solid gun, quick cycling and accurate.
No idea of their worth.
