Has anybody used Med Cert?
Hi All
Hope you can help. Did a searchg but didn't find much.
My FAC with Surrey is up for renewal in a few months. My GP surgery is good but pretty difficult to access anything other than urgent matters.
Med Cert seem to offer a full service. has anybody used them?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Has anybody used Med Cert?
Yeah - I've used Medcert.
Here's what to do - GET YOUR OWN NHS RECODS - your surgery is obliged to supply them within 30 days.
Send them to Medcert with your £50 - should get a reply within about 3 weeks.

Some forces may require you to get another cert when you come to renew .
I dont know about other forces but the medical part of the application from Merseyside is 5 pages .
And they want to know if a "firearms aoplication flag" has been placed on your medical records .

Re: Has anybody used Med Cert?
Worked fine for me, my GP is not keen on firearms, Medcert seemed an easy solution.
Careful now/that sort of thing
Re: Has anybody used Med Cert?
My local medical practice had allowed their personal prejudices to influence surgery policy (until they discovered they could charge £90 for the fatuous bureaucratic tick-box process).
I expressed my dissatisfaction to the surgery manager and opted to use MedCert who provided the medical proforma within 6 weeks over the Xmas and New Year period.
