"As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls. We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity"
I'm afraid all credibility of the author's knowledge of the subject falls apart at this point... We do NOT know that the population will reach herd immunity. We do not have enough data to know that yet. And in fact the data we do have is trending towards any immunity being short term. There are plenty of cases where people have caught it twice, and plenty more where people have had a positive result followed a few months later with a negative antibody test.

Bollox to "focussed protection"................sounds like anyone over 65 ie, the so-called "vulnerable", will be expected to self-isolate regardless.
