Pistol, a toss up between the CZ75 and SIG210M, probably the SIG as it is the one I have shot most recently.

Rifle - my Accuracy International AE. It has been my rifle from new, has been modified to suit my needs, hits what I point it at to 1000 yards, likes any sort of milsurp at and the drops and windage are all but instinctive these days. Out all of all of my rifles this is the one I would grab first.

For historic I would choose the SMLE No1 Mk3* certainly not the most accurate of rifles but I always marvel at what it has done and where it has been when I pick one up.

Marlin 1894 and Colt Bisley.........

Browning Hi-Power and HK53 (at a push of the rifle definition)
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Rifle wise it has to be the SLR.An iconic shape which i bet even non shooting people could identify from a silhouette.

Pistol-Colt 1911.

I have to admit I have a soft spot for the Mossberg 500 pump action.

Yes I know it is not a rifle :G

I quite liked the P228 in 9mm - but I guess preferred the 226 in .40

Rifle wise still rather attached to my Enfield enforcer in 7.62 with some old Pecar glass on it.

Do you know i just cannot get on with pumps.Im one of those people who cannot rack the action while keeping the gun shouldered so dont ever ask me to pat my head while rubbing stomach.Shame really because atleast pumps are not cartridge fussy like S/A's.

You want to see me levering my Winchester-its almost comical to watch.
