Hi all.
I have just bought two boxed of the above bullets as my usual Lapua ones weren't available. I have been searching high and low for reloading data for use with Vihtavuori N140 and cannot find it anywhere. I have emailed Hornady but haven't had a reply yet.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or advise me if I can use a similar bullets' reloading data? And if so, what characteristics must I match up for them to be safety comparable?
Many thanks, Steve

Hi Steve
I would first ascertain the difference between the two bullets by checking seating depth into the case at your desired gap to lands to see if the volume for the powder in the case is very close, don’t forget that very small differences can have huge pressure differences, if it’s really close then maybe drop charge by 10% and try a couple, otherwise try and find actual data
N140 maybe considered a little fast for that bullet and N150 or similar may be better
Maybe someone with quickload could give better advise if you can supply some build dimensions

You will probably find its lumped in with the 178 Amax and 180 gr bullets, so look for N140 loads for those.
I had the same with the Hornady 155 Match, no Ramshot data for them but I found a scan of the Hornady reloading manual which gave the same loads for all their 150 and 155 bullets, including the Match and Amax bullets... and there was Ramshot load data for the Amax...

Yes you're right. I downloaded the Hornady app and they bunch about 8 bullets altogether and give data for the whole lot. Ill try searching elsewhere for the Amax with N140.Daryll wrote:You will probably find its lumped in with the 178 Amax and 180 gr bullets, so look for N140 loads for those.

I did email Hornady and they said that N140 didn't perform for them which is why they haven't published the data. But we will see if I can find it under the Amax.
