If you could legally would you carry?

#1 Post by Christel »

I do not think it has been asked on here but if it has during one of those few seconds where I turned my back on the forum then just let me know!

In the light of the riots and all the discussions and disagreements on here I have to ask because I am curious.

Would you carry if you could?
What would you carry and how? Eg shoulderholster, ankle, hip.

For the riots.

Yes, Baseball bat, right hand, CZ75 in 9mm concealed right hand side waist holster, Short spade or entrenching tool, in rucksack.

Treat them as you would zombies :goodjob:

For every day use probably a Glock 29 in 10mm. :run:

No, I have no need to and it would be such a hassle. Would still like the right to make my own choice though.

My best mate lives in Texas and his Glock goes everywhere he does. He's never had to use it, but it has gotten him out of two potentially bad situations(just by showing it to the scallies). So, I'd say yes, I would.

No idea what, or how, but I would. :good:

Oh please explain?

I know they are really handy on a motorbike when travelling but why carry?

If we lived in Magic-Land and were allowed CCW, would I carry?

YES 8-)

My first thought would be to have something with a bit of class I reckon, like a .455 Webley

It's big. The round's a man-stopper, or at the very least you'd be feeling a bit under the weather afterward and probably wouldn't want to play anymore.

If I need more then 6 rounds then I propably shouldn't be in the situation that calls for 7.

Probably carry it in a shoulder rig if I could.

Good question. I like it.

Wierd long original answer disappeared! :-P :G

Briefly
1. To act as a quick tournique for yourself or other wounded - no good surviving encounter but bleeding out
2. Tie secure those that deserved being shot - hands / wrist / feet etc (enough CT's and you can secure to objects)

People focus on the weapon and you stand a high percentage chance of being hit on your strong side in hand arm / shoulder
hence - practice weak hand shooting as well!

There's been a few times when I've travelled that I would have liked to carry - but in the UK, as it is now I don't feel the need for an 'everyday' carry.

It would be nice to be able to keep one at home, and have the option to carry if you wanted to...but I can't think of an occation for years where I'd of prefered to be armed.

The problem I have with legal carry in the UK, is that while I trust myself (as you will trust yourselves) - I don't trust the majority of the general public to carry on an everyday basis.
