Marlin tall front post

Anyone know a good uk supplier who can sell me a tall front post for an 1894 Cow Boy? (octaganal)

Also, Marlin, what the.... out of the box the factory front post is miles too short!! Not sure how they get away with that.

Have a look at Marlinspares.com. It’s a U.K. company. The fore sight on the Cowboys are the tallest Marlin factory sight anyway, but, they also stock Skinners sights and they do a 0.5” tall front sight.

Likewise, driving your bullets faster will lower your point of impact.

Cheers by my maths I need about 2-3mm on top of what I have now.

Ideally a bit more to allow me to use the buckhorn elevation adjustment rather than having it sat on the deck.

I have a Marlin .38/.357 underlever and I have a Williams Gunsight on mine with a higher front post and I can highly recommend this combination.

I'm a bit confused by this post. Is the rifle shooting low or is it shooting high?
I have been awaiting further postings to clarify the exact situation to satisfy my curiosity.

So it needs a taller front post, yes?

I looked at the formula for calculating the front post height and it from my maths I need 1.6mm extra. Factory is 12.5mm so if I step up to 14.5mm front post that will give me some adjustment on the rear?

All of this may be a waste of time anyway as I have been having other issues with the gun so might well be going back!
