The National Match - Wins Like Buses

#1 Post by rox »

Scotland wait 45 years for National win, then two come along at once.

England's selection for today's National match was clearly aimed at revenge for last year's Scottish win, but Scotland duplicated the Elcho 'two in a row' by also winning the National for the second year running - Scotland had to wait 45 years for the 2010 victory. To put the win in perspective, the last time anyone other than England won twice in a row was 1900. Ireland have won once, and Wales are still waiting.

National Match in progress.

Congrats to the Scots. I was fortunate to have been selected to shoot for England this year (reserve last year) and accreditted my self well with a 105. 17. It was a good afternoon and I thoroughly enjoyed the shoot. Next year hopefully we will win.
