I've been looking for a .223 to shoot milsurp ammo out to 300 yrds.
I wonder if anyone has had experience of the Sabatti-tactical-scout-bolt-action-223. It looks like a nice package and not expensive, not sure about the polygonal rifling though.
Any input most appreciated

I reckon it is what it is. Selling on would be an issue if that happened. Alternatives in that price bracket would be the Mossberg MVP variants.

As for polygon rifling, all very Teutonic being a favourite of H&K and Glock! Again, can see a great deal of issues.

I’ve been wondering about one of these to shoot .223/5.56 for some cheaper to run centre fire practice.

“Our .223s will happily eat 5.56, since CIP doesn’t differentiate between the two cartridges and just has the higher pressure as its standard. So our .223s will shoot everything from the cheapest Russian steel to match .223 brass ammo”

From online discussions most owners seem very happy and they seem to be compare favourably with similar rifles. 1:9 twist too so should be okay with 62g bullets.

Hi Alberto,

I have a varmint kevlar version of the CZ 527. I can confirm that it shoots 5.56mm Radway Green fine and it's also capable of shooting 69gr SMK and Scenar's fine!

Fantastic rifle! Picked it up from my local RFD for £695 if I recall correctly, around 6 years ago. If it didn't come bedded, someone went to the trouble of doing so. It's a light rifle and is really fun to shoot.
