I would give one house room, I have always liked them for some off reason and the idea of a light compact 600m rifle is appealing, the question is in what calibre would I have one...

I had one and I'm not sure that I would own another......
I love the "scout cencept" but there are a couple of scout rifles on the market that definitely competes with the Steyr. The new Ruger looks very promising. And what Scout Rifle do they use at Gunsite, the birth place of the concept? Savage......
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!
I have a feeling another cabinet is not an option in our somewhat compact little cottage, we already have two gun cabinets, three ammunition safes and a huge ammunition box for of 12g cartridges under the bed.... The poor old house must be sagging under the weight of what is bolted to the walls right now
I do however have a 12g S/S that really does need to go and that would free up a space and I am sure the Viking still has a spare slot on her Cert.

12g S/S probably not worth much - if you want to pass it on to a good home, I'm sure I can find a space in my cabinet to make it feel at home.

God loves stupid people, that is why he made so many of them.

I'm with Sim as far as liking the Scout Rifle concept, but for me the Steyr never appealed - it just didn't look right!
As for my Ishapore - I'm very happy with it as a Scout Rifle - I just need more magazines and or charger clips and I'm sorted.
