A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Nice. I wonder what it weighs in at and if it could stand a decent bipod and 'scope and keep within F/TR weight limits- My guess is it will if Mik is building it.
I still think you will need a pressure washer to get it clean if you take it out in the field

remember the golden rule, everthing is £100
Mind you I would probably have a different calibre, still putting thoughts into a 6.5x47 as a 40th Birthday prezzy next year

Until she start shooting! it is like Touratech parts. I used to get home to be told there was another small jiffy bag arrived from Touratech "Another 150 quid then I suppose?" These days she usually writes the cheques/produces the card for shooting bits so she knows exactly what things cost......

I was admiring Ex-skydiver's rifle during the week (Also a Mik Mak build), a Surgeon action on a AICS folding stock with a matching matt black barrel.
I did not ask the length of the barrel but it all looked very nice and in proportion.
The 7mm was very impressive as well and I have to keep telling myself that I do not need one.
I look forward to handling one of these stocks but I guess it will take a while for them to filter through to the firing line.
I have played with the idea of sticking a basic Remi .223 or .308 on one and using it as a care free/tactical gun for the few practical comps that I shoot.
The tall bloke's barrel is either 30.5" or 31" - it is the same as mine whatever that is however I think his is a Bartlein, it was interesting see a very slight difference between his and mine when we chronoed. Although we both run a modified version of the 7mm SAUM they are different in subtle ways so that and the different barrels must account for the different MV's.
The impressive part to me is he is shooting F Open off a bipod and took a Gold at 800 yards at the Europeans last year and I am not even sure he was using a rear bag when he did it!
