Following on from my message earlier in the year, I want to say a few words about how we’ll be operating following the name change and shift in direction.
As indicated, we are gradually specialising more in stainless steel pin tumblers of various kinds, the DSX lubes which we have just introduced onto the UK market (see here), casting metals and certain particular types of guns (carbines, LBRs, rimfires and classic guns). Other brands and innovations will no doubt be added as time goes on, but those are some of the core things at the moment.
On the site, you’ll see that we don’t list specific bullets or brass cases any more but that we are offering to obtain whatever you need on a special order basis, subject to certain minimum order amounts.
I know there may be instances where someone wants something that is quite expensive per unit but doesn’t wish to shell out hundreds of pounds on, say, brass which they may only fire occasionally. Those, we can look at together so there is some flexibility.
That’s one example. There may be other instances where a group of mates club together to buy bullets or where I just happen to be ordering particular types of bullets and brass because there is steady demand and I’ve decided to stock them. It’s an unusual way of operating but we’re working within certain constraints of space and with no retail premises.
I think most of you already know that much of our work involves special order items and that sometimes there can be quite a wait. The flipside of this is that, given enough time, I can get you what you need.
I thought people would prefer to have an update from me directly rather than just go on the website and find that everything had changed.
Update from JDR GUNS
JDR imports reloading goods to order and has a special interest in historical carbines and all forms of S1 pistols and revolvers.
We also supply everything to do with wet tumbling, with machines ranging from the Rebel 17 to the large, industrial-sized CRC units.
