EU In/Out Voting Thread Disappeared
What happened to the voting thread on leaving or staying in the EU?

Re: EU In/Out Voting Thread Disappeared
It's in GOM so not everyone has access to the area because you have to ask to enter GOM (grumpy old men)
Re: EU In/Out Voting Thread Disappeared
Why has it been moved to GOM? As has been stated not everyone wants access to GOM, I don't have access and neither do I want it. Staying in or leaving the EU could have a significant impact on the shooting sport in the UK, so why couldn't it stay in Shooting General Discussion?dromia wrote:Do a search it has been moved to the correct forum.

Re: EU In/Out Voting Thread Disappeared
If you have not chosen to access GOM then you will not be able to post non shooting related topics.
The link to shooting is tenuous as the discussion isn't about that but the bigger issues and the poll was a straight in/out.
We had this discussion on the previous thread that was moved there.
You are welcome to disagree but it will not change anything.

Re: EU In/Out Voting Thread Disappeared
Seems a little heavy handed.
GoM generally seems to have the posts that are "close to the bone" that most members may not want to participate. The EU thread seemed much more relevant to the wider audience of the forum.
Perhaps we need an "off-topic" board, as well as GoM, rather than just shift out everything that's not strictly shooting related to the somewhat controversial GoM sub-forum.
Edit: Just found the post in GoM where other members have suggested the same thing and consequently read dromias response. Respectfully, I disagree with that decision. General discussion <> Grumpy Old Men.

Re: EU In/Out Voting Thread Disappeared
I stated in my original post that staying or leaving the EU may have a wider impact on the shooting sport in the UK hence it was the reason I asked the question, there was nothing tenuous about it.The link to shooting is tenuous as the discussion isn't about that but the bigger issues and the poll was a straight in/out.
You are welcome to disagree but it will not change anything.

Re: EU In/Out Voting Thread Disappeared
You are welcome to disagree but there is no reason yet another non shooting forum here, it would just become another GOM.
This is a shooting a gun ownership forum first and foremost and we will concentrate on that.
This post is in reply to tatooed gun.
