Connecticut gun manufacturer Stag plead guilty today to violating federal law, including the loss of 200 firearms from its record books, and the possession of 62 machine guns or receivers for machine guns not registered to the company. In the plea agreement that to the revocation of the company’s Federal Firearms License, owner Mark Malkowski agreed to sell Stag and never own another gun company again. I think the word is incompetent, they messed up their paperwork and that for anybody who manufacturers Modern Sporting Rifles in the current climate is devastating for their business.

Thing is that when producing firearms, the bookkeeping has to be water tight so no sympathy for Stag Arms who make good AR's. Fortunately someone else is taking over and hopefully the quality will remain the same. However the ATF lost over 200 hundred AR's to the Mexican cartels during operation fast and furious and it gets covered up by presidential executive order. 8-) One rule for them, another for the rest of us.

Yes and people died because of it! The President sanctioned it to demonise the law abiding and then covered it, what an oaf.

Chuck as far as I'm aware it was Eric Holder the former Attorney General who authorised fast and furious. When Obama got him off the hook by issuing the executive order, he jumped ship and is now working for the corporate law firm Covington & Burling. Obama's administration is now on its third Attorney General.

Rab, Obama is the boss - the buck stops with him! Very few arms trafficked illegally to Mexico were seized or even TRACKED but law abiding retailers were threatened if they did not co-operate with the farce.

No self respecting drug baron worth billions would waste time on straw purchases of one or two guns and Bubbas tackle and Guns when they can buy military weapons from gun runners anywhere.
