Since Stoeger Coach guns are sold in the uk, has anyone ever (just asking out curiosity) tried to make an Evil dead inspired Boomstick?
I got wondering about whether that and his chainsaw are practical combo for taking on all the evil that hell can throw in new zealand done up to look like a US state (they get breaks to film there, so why not).

I used to have a lovely Baikal 12 bore side by side hammer gun with 16" or 18" barrels ( i forget which )
I regret selling it.

Re: Ash vs the Evil dead boomstick
I've been told that they are hard to get in new.
A&A told me at the start of the year that he can't get them in.
spoke to a couple of other places , some said no. some, like C&G said of course we can get it, but you do realise that the import costs will probably make it too expensive to bother - £1500-2000 all in

Isn't the problem that 'coach guns' are section 1 and only granted to those who do cowboy action shooting and so forth? I recall seeing a review of the Pedersoli coach gun which was well liked, less than a grand but hard to find an actual, practical use for...
Re: Ash vs the Evil dead boomstick
So might as well find a donor sxs and have it cut to required length, with paperwork amendment?

Re: Ash vs the Evil dead boomstick
you aren't allowed to cut s2 barrels and make s1 are you?
and you aren't allowed to shorten s2 barrels significantly unless damaged
sure i saw that somewhere??
yes, coach guns are S1, so you would have to have a 'need' but I do CAS :P

If you're allowed to have an RFD fit a magazine tube to take your S2 shotgun to a ten-shot S1, why not the above?bradaz11 wrote:you aren't allowed to cut s2 barrels and make s1 are you?
Would make for a jolly cheap coach gun as lovely English side-by-sides can be had for buttons used...

hmmm, i can't find anything to back up that claim, so I may be talking manure....
it seems you can shorten to not less than 24".
I can't find anything about taking it from sec2 to 1 by barrel length. I am positive I was told by an RFD that they could not shorten past 24" even if I had a sec1 slot free. but they may have not known the law fully.
